Rive updated its pricing in October 2025. Publishing your work for production now requires a paid plan.

What Changed?

• The Rive editor is still free to use for designing and animating.

• "Export" is now called "Publish".

• To publish your work (export a .riv file) for use in apps, websites, or games, you now need at least the Cadet plan.

Cadet Plan

• $9/month (annual) or $17/month (monthly)

• Unlimited publishing

• Tags and folders for file organization

• Early Access to new features

What This Means for You

You can follow the entire course using the free editor. But when you're ready to publish your final .riv file to use in your project, you'll need to upgrade to the Cadet plan.
