Rive added a new Ask Mode to the AI Agent - a lighter, faster way to chat with the agent when you just need an answer, not a full action.

What Is Ask Mode?

The full Agent mode is great for getting work done in your project (creating scripts, View Models, animations). But sometimes you just want to ask a question without the agent doing anything.

Ask Mode handles questions that don't need the full Agent. It uses more efficient models, so it costs significantly less.

When to Use Each Mode

• Ask Mode - quick questions, explanations, "why isn't this working?", "what does this do?"

• Agent Mode - when you want it to create or modify things in your project

What This Means for You

Use Ask Mode for the small stuff. Save Agent credits for the actual building work.
